Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the impact of work-life balance on job performance within the context of local government workplace productivity. Highlighting that government employees sometimes face high workloads and demands from the management, the research study explores how balancing professional affairs and personal responsibilities plays vital role toward productivity and overall organizational performance. Using mixed-method design involving qualitative and quantitative approach among permanent-hired employees of local government unit of Sagbayan. The research explored factors such as flexible work schedule set-up, workload management, organizational support system, and policy enhancement and implementation. Results underscore a significant positive correlation between work-life balance and job performance among its employees, highlighting that employees with better work-life balance promote higher productivity, job satisfaction, and commitment to their assigned tasks. In contrast, low level of work-life balance contributes to high rate of absenteeism, stress, and unproductivity among employees. The study discovered that implementing supportive work-life balance policies and programs within the context of local government unit workplace can enhance employee wellness, improve job performance, and promote long-term workplace productivity in local government unit.
