Abstract

This survey-correlational research was conducted to determine the perception, interest, and comprehension of Noli Me Tangere. The participants in this study were one hundred fifty-one (151) out of two hundred forty-six (246) Grade 9 students of Estefania Montemayor National High School during the School Year 2025–2026. The research instruments used were a twenty-five (25) item questionnaire on perception of Noli Me Tangere, a twenty-five (25) item questionnaire on interest in Noli Me Tangere, and a twenty-five (25) point test on comprehension of Noli Me Tangere, all personally constructed by the researcher. The independent variables were perception and interest, while the dependent variable was the comprehension of Noli Me Tangere among Grade 9 students. The study found that the students’ perception of Noli Me Tangere was “high.” In addition, the students’ interest in Noli Me Tangere was likewise “high.” The students’ comprehension of Noli Me Tangere was “moderate.” Furthermore, there was a “significant relationship” among the perception, interest, and comprehension of Noli Me Tangere among Grade 9 students.
