This study determined the management of property, plant and equipment in the City Government of Tabaco. Specifically, it will answer the following sub-problems: 1) What is the level of management of the property, plant and equipment in the City Government of Tabaco along acquisition, maintenance and disposition?; 2) Is there a significant difference on the management of the property, plant and equipment as perceived by the internal and external respondents?; 3) What are the effects of the management of the property plant and equipment to the performance of the different offices of the local government office?; 4) What are the problems met in the management of the property, plant and equipment along the three (3) stages?; and 5) What management plan may be proposed to address the problems met? The descriptive-survey methodology was employed in this study. It utilized a questionnaire to gather the needed data. The respondents of this study are of two (2) groups. The first group is the internal respondents composed of employees of the City Government of Tabaco who are directly involved in the management of property, plant and equipment. Thirteen (13) employees were identified. They are employed in the Office of the City Budget Officer and General Services Office. The other group is the external respondents. This group is composed of the forty-seven (47) barangay captains of the City of Tabaco. The statistical measures used are frequency count, weighted mean, ranking and F-test. The results revealed that the level of management of the property, plant and equipment in the City Government of Tabaco is determined along three (3) stages. These stages are acquisition, maintenance and disposition. The level of management along the three (3) stages as rated by the internal respondents has an over-all average of 4.21 with an adjectival description of very high; which is a little bit lower as rated by the external respondents with 4.23 with the same description. The F-computed value along maintenance which is 0.0562; along acquisition which is 0.0403 and along disposition with 0.4997 are lower than the F-tabular value of 5.319 at 0.05 level of significance. The effect of the management of property, plant and equipment along acquisition, maintenance and disposition has an average of 4.17 which is high. The top problems identified in the three (3) stages are the following: in acquisition the problem identified is the procurement process is very long and tedious. Along maintenance, the problem identified is lack of personnel to take charge of maintenance of PPEs and along disposition, the problem with a final rank of first is absence of warehouse for unserviceable assets. To address the top most challenges identified in the previous discussions, the researcher developed a management plan.
