Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the levels of strengths, weaknesses, and effectiveness of using Canva in teachers’ instruction. Specifically, it aimed to identify the significant relationships between strengths and weaknesses in the use of Canva in teaching, strengths and effectiveness in the use of Canva in teaching, and weaknesses and effectiveness in the use of Canva in teaching. The participants of the study consisted of seventy (70) teachers who use Canva in their teaching. They were selected through purposive sampling from secondary schools in the Division of Roxas City, including President Manuel Roxas Memorial School – South, Congressman Ramon A. Arnaldo High School, Lawa-an Integrated School, Bago National High School, Olotayan Integrated School, and Inzo Arnaldo Village Integrated School. Only teachers who actively use Canva in their instruction were included in the study. In this research, the independent variables were the strengths and weaknesses in the use of Canva in teachers’ instruction, while the dependent variable was the effectiveness of using Canva in teachers’ instruction. The study employed a survey-correlational research design to explain and interpret the relationships among the variables. Data were collected through a questionnaire that measured the strengths of Canva use in teaching, the weaknesses of Canva in teaching, and the effectiveness of Canva in teachers’ instruction. The research instrument also included the personal characteristics of the participants. The collected data were processed using computer-based statistical analysis. For descriptive statistics, frequency count, mean, and standard deviation were utilized. For inferential statistics, Pearson’s r correlation coefficient was used with the alpha level set at 0.05 for all inferential tests. The findings revealed that the overall level of strengths in the use of Canva in teachers’ instruction was very high. The overall level of weaknesses in the use of Canva among teachers was moderate. Meanwhile, the overall level of effectiveness in the use of Canva in teachers’ instruction was very high. However, the results also indicated that there was no significant relationship between the strengths and weaknesses in the use of Canva in teaching. Similarly, there was no significant relationship between strengths and effectiveness in the use of Canva in teaching. Likewise, there was no significant relationship between weaknesses and effectiveness in the use of Canva in teaching.
