Abstract
This study evaluates the impact of Discrete Trial Training (DTT) on students with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Down Syndrome at Danao City Central SPED School during the 2024-2025 academic year. Utilizing a structured and repetitive teaching methodology, the research aims to highlight the role of DTT in fostering skill acquisition and independence among children with special needs. The findings demonstrate the efficacy of DTT, affirming its pivotal role in improving daily living skills and fostering independence in diverse educational settings. This research provides crucial insights for developing action plans to optimize educational practices for students with special needs, promoting their integration and independence within inclusive environments. The successful application of DTT not only enhances educational outcomes but also contributes to a more equitable and supportive educational landscape. An action plan is recommended by the researcher which consists with different approaches in regard to DTT that will make the students’ progress their skills specifically in self-help skills. Ultimately, this study underscores the potential of DTT in improving the quality of life for students with special needs by supporting their successful social integration.
