Abstract

Teachers are central to shaping the future of education, yet their growth and effectiveness rely heavily on the training and professional development they receive. This study explores global approaches to teacher preparation and continuing professional development (CPD), examining trends, challenges, and strategies across regions such as Asia, Europe, Africa, North America, South America, and Oceania. Using a data mining approach, the research synthesizes insights from policy reports, scholarly literature, and case studies to identify both common patterns and unique regional practices. Findings show that while CPD is widely recognized as essential, its implementation varies due to differences in resources, infrastructure, and policy support. Curriculum reforms succeed only when teachers are fully equipped to apply them, and innovative practices like project-based learning, mentoring, and peer collaboration require long-term support to thrive. Technology integration is becoming a key driver of effective teaching, but disparities in access remain. Based on these insights, the study recommends strengthening professional development, investing in digital resources, fostering culturally responsive training, encouraging collaboration among teachers, and aligning policies with classroom realities.
