Abstract
This research sought to assess the level of social skills and level of play behavior and the significance of both variables to the assessed level of motor skills of preschoolers. A descriptive correlational research design was utilized with the data gathered from 168 learners of Compostela Central Elementary School in Cebu Province Division of school year 2025-2026 by simple random technique as basis for an action plan. The data were gathered using adopted questionnaires and were treated using frequency count, percentage, weighted mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s r. The results revealed that the preschoolers had excellent social skills and had very good play behavior. At the same time, they had excellent fine and gross motor skills. Moreover, it was found that there is a significant relationship between the preschoolers’ social and motor skills. On the other hand, no significant relationship was found between the play behavior and motor skills of the learners. Preschoolers demonstrate solid motor development with strong social abilities but no influence with their play behavior. Thus, it is encouraged that teachers integrated learning activities that combine social interaction with structured motor challenges, such as cooperative games and movement-based group tasks.
