Abstract
This study examined the knowledge management process capability and organizational innovation of Northeastern College as bases to improve institutional performance and innovation practices in higher education. Using a descriptive-quantitative design, it aimed to determine how knowledge management processes (acquisition, conversion, application, and protection) support organizational innovation in the process and technology. Primary data were gathered through a survey questionnaire that was adapted from different studies, with 245 faculty and staff members participating in the study. The weighted mean was used to describe the perception of the respondents. Results showed that the institution demonstrates an established knowledge management capability characterized by effective knowledge acquisition (OWM=3.83), strong knowledge conversion practices (OWM=3.96), and consistent application of knowledge in improving operational efficiency and problem-solving (OWM=3.77). Knowledge protection mechanisms were evident (OWM=3.98); however, results suggest the need for stronger incentives and structured policies to reinforce knowledge security practices. Organizational innovation was found to be evident in both process (OWM=3.94) and technology (OWM=4.01) dimensions, highlighting clear innovation development procedures and continuous adaptation to technological changes that improve service delivery and information processing. Implications emphasize the need for formal knowledge management policies, enhanced competitive intelligence practices, and strengthened technology-enabled collaboration to sustain innovation and organizational performance. Future studies may explore comparative analyses among institutions and examine the relationship between knowledge management capability and measurable performance outcomes.
