Abstract
This survey-correlational research explored the level of importance of visual learning tools and the learning development of hearing-impaired learners during the 2025-2026 academic year. Thirty-six (36) learners with hearing impairments from Kalibo Integrated Special Education Center and Kalibo Pilot Elementary School participated in the study, which aimed to answer twenty-two specific questions regarding the importance of visual learning tools and twenty-six questions regarding the learning development of hearing-impaired learners. Data were collected using a researcher-made questionnaire, validated by two experts in inclusive education and an English critic. Following validation, the questionnaire was finally tested with the same thirty-six (36) learners from Kalibo Integrated Special Education Center and Kalibo Pilot Elementary School. Factor analysis, construct validation, and reliability testing were conducted using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software. The independent variable was the level of importance of visual learning tools, while the dependent variable was the level of learning development of hearing-impaired learners. Descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation were employed for data analysis, with a significance level set at 0.05. The level of importance of visual learning tools and their impact on the learning development of hearing-impaired learners. Additionally, a significant relationship between visual learning tools and the learning development of hearing impaired learners was found.
Keywords: Visual learning tools, hearing-impaired learners, learning development, inclusive education, Pearson correlation.
