Abstract

This survey-correlational study determined the level of conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills in Physics of Grade 10 at Feliciano YusayConsing National High School, Brgy. Cabugcabug, President Roxas, Capiz for school year 2024-2025. The participants of this study were two hundred twenty-five (225) Grade 10 students randomly selected from a total population of five hundred ten (510). The independent variable in this study was the conceptual understanding while the dependent variable was the problem-solving skills. The research instruments were Conceptual Understanding Test and Problem-Solving Skills Test. The statistical tools used were mean, standard deviation, ANOVA, and Pearson r. Results revealed that generally, students were “Proficient” in conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. There was a significant difference among the levels of problem-solving skills among the levels of conceptual understanding. There was a significant relationship between conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills.
