Abstract: The study explored the determinants of student engagement among 246 Grade 6 learners at Baobaoan Integrated School, Sumilihon Elementary School, and Los Angeles Elementary School within East Butuan District I, Butuan City, during the school year 2024-2025. A descriptive research design was used to examine the determinants of student engagement measured in terms of teacher behavior, teacher-support climate, school factors, and family factors. Student engagement was measured in terms of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral aspects. The respondents of the study were the 246 grade 6 learners of Baobaoan Integrated School, Sumilihon Elementary School, and Los Angeles Elementary School. A researcher-made questionnaire was designed to measure the determinants of student engagement, which was validated by experts and pilot-tested for reliability. The collected data was collated, tabulated, and analyzed using the mean and regression analysis.
