Abstract: This study endeavored to determine the influence of manipulative and visual instructional tools on the mathematics linear measurement skills among fifty (50) Grade 3 learners at San Vicente Elementary School. A mixed-method sequential explanatory research design was used to test the influence of the two instructional tools. More specifically, the study exposed the following objectives. Firstly, it attempts to determine the performance of the two groups of learners on the linear measurement before the intervention. Secondly, it tries to assess the performance of the learners taught with manipulatives and visuals. Thirdly, it investigates whether there is a significant difference in each group after the intervention. Fourthly, it investigates the significant difference in the mean gain between the two groups. Fifthly, it assesses the learners’ experiences with the use of the two instructional tools. Lastly, it focuses on what can be proposed to enhance the performance of the Grade 3 learners in linear measurement.
