Abstract

The current research investigated how the DepEd Computerization Program (DCP) affected the computer literacy and technology integration preparedness of public secondary school teachers in San Francisco District of Cebu Province. A correlational research design was employed to gather data from 155 educators via a validated questionnaire and a competency test consisting of 20 items. Statistical assessments comprised weighted average, Spearman’s rank correlation, and Kruskal–Wallis analysis. Findings indicated that educators have a reasonably high level of computer literacy but show only moderate preparedness for technology integration, significantly affected by demographic elements and insufficient ICT training experiences. Important relationships and distinctions were observed among the variables, resulting in the dismissal of all null hypotheses. The results emphasize the necessity for an organized and ongoing ICT Management Training Plan to improve teachers’ digital skills and teaching methods. The research aids in enhancing the DepEd Computerization Program and promotes the growth of technology-based education in public schools.
