Abstract
The survey – correlational research design was used in this study to determine the relationship between the level of exposure to digital devices and its academic, emotional and social influences of digital devices on kindergarten pupils. The participants of this study were twenty-four (24) kindergarten pupils of Pontevedra Fundamental Baptist Academy, Inc., and six (6) kindergarten pupils of Advance Learning Academy Inc. for the school year 2024-2025. Data needed for this study were gathered using researcher- made questionnaires measuring about the level of exposure to digital devices and academic, emotional and social influences on kindergarten. The statistical tools used in data analyses were frequency count, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson r. All inferential tests were set at .05 alpha level of significance. The major findings of the investigation were the following: Generally, the level of exposure to digital devices among preschoolers was “moderate”. The level of academic influence of exposure to digital devices amongpreschoolers was “moderate”. The level of emotional influence of exposure to digital devices among preschoolers was “moderate”. The level of social influence of exposure to digital devices among preschoolers was “high”. There was a significant relationship between exposure to digital devices and academic influence among preschoolers. There was a significant relationship between exposure to digital devices and emotional influence among preschoolers. There was a significant relationship between exposure to digital devices and social influence among preschoolers. There was a significant relationship between academic influence and emotional influence among preschoolers. There was a significant relationship between academic influence and social influence among preschoolers. And there was a significant relationship between emotional influence and social influence among preschoolers.
