Abstract

This study explored the activities, involvement, and outputs of student leadership programs in five secondary schools within East Butuan District I. A descriptive research design was used to examine these components and identify potential areas for improvement. The study was conducted at Ampayon National High School, Anticala National High School, Baobaoan Integrated School, Los Angeles National High School, and Tagkiling Tribal Integrated Secondary School. Participants were the presidents and vice presidents of the student body organizations from each school, totaling ten participants. Data was gathered through interviews using an interview guide. The collected data was analyzed using frequency counts, coding, and thematic analysis to understand the student leaders’ engagement in various SSG-related activities, including Flag Raising Ceremony, Buwan ng Wika, SSG Meeting, School Policy Review, Peer Reading, Anti-Bullying Campaign, Tree Planting, Gender Sensitivity Program, Acquaintance Party, Career Guidance, Quiz Bees, Brigada Eskwela, Holy Mass, OplanBalikEskwela (OBE), SSG Election of Officers, and Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED).
