Abstract
This study assessed the practices and challenges encountered by school heads and teachers in the implementation of child protection policy among selected elementary schools in Luzon, Philippines. The study selected the participation of 150 school heads and 150 elementary school teachers. It utilized a descriptive research through researcher-made-survey questionnaire. Results revealed that school heads and teachers assessed that the programs and projects reflecting the provisions of Child Protection Policy were highly implemented. They highly implemented sound implementation strategies, support services and awareness and campaigns. However, school heads and teachers always encountered challenges pertaining to the legal and policy aspect, resource allocation and parental participation. Notably, it found out that there was no significant difference on the assessments of the respondents relative to the practices and challenges encountered in the implementation of child protection policy.
